Membership Information

Manotick is a perfect club to start your Toastmaster journey. Whether you join because of your Career, Family, or a Relationship Toastmasters will help you with your client presentations and structure to closing your sale or communicating more effectively to get the results you desire. You will speak with conviction and confidence.

While most clubs meet weekly we meet every 2^nd, 4^th, and 5^thMondays of each month. The Toastmaster year starts October through to September. 

Membership fee is only $100.00 for the year [ that only $8.33/month] plus a one time headquarters registration fee of $50.00. The $50 covers your monthly magazine, membership kit packed with working manuals and valuable information about Toastmasters International . You also receive a monthly Toastmaster Magazine which is packed with valuable information that will enhance your communications with your present and new clients. There are several training and workshops opportunities throughout the year to members at no charge.

We highly recommend you join for one year to give yourself time to get oriented and work the speech manual. Also because we meet two/three times a month six months wouldn’t give you time to settle in.

You will have a lot of fun at our club but we follow the agenda closely so we start and finish on time. Toastmasters is a personal accomplishment but also we work together as a team to the success of each individual and the success of the club.

On joining you will be assigned a mentor to orient you to Toastmasters and help you through your first three speeches.

Are You are self employed? Check with your accountant you may be able to claim your Toastmasters Membership on your business or personal taxes each year. Ask your employer. They may also sponsor your membership.

• Twice a year we have speech contests, Humourous and Evaluation contests in the fall, and Table Topics and International speech contest in the spring to consider.
• You will be able to visit other clubs. We encourage members to visit and even give speeches at other clubs.
• Your membership may be a tax deduction or your employer may sponsor you.
